About This Project

TITLE
Une forêt de vert, 2017

Chloë Charce

LOCATION

DESCRIPTION
Five organic columns of different heights illustrate totemic figures made with superimposed vase shapes. The verticality of these intriguing silhouettes recall both skyscrapers of the city and trees of the forest. The first inspiration for the use of various vases refers to the ancestral trade of goods such as wine, oils and perfumes that were being transported from town to town in amphora and other containers in ceramic or glass: symbols of trade and exchange as well as of passage and nomadism.
